Our Children's Marketing team are looking for a Marketing Executive. In line with the Children's marketing strategy, the Children's Marketing Executive will support the front list campaign team with the implementation of fully integrated marketing campaigns, designed to drive profitable sales of Children's titles, developing and strengthening key author brands. The role focuses on launching new titles by authors - whether long established, up and coming, or debut - and has a strong digital and social media bias.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of marketing campaign initiatives
  • Support the Campaign Director and Campaign Manager to ensure campaigns run smoothly, on time, and on budget
  • Collate and organise digital and print marketing assets
  • Own and build relationships with central marketing, the corporate comms team, and Collins education team to champion regular social and email coverage for our books
  • Create, test and send emails on time and own the email schedule and email reporting
  • Implement email growth strategy initiatives as set by the Digital Campaign Director
  • Own NetGalley relationship, working with Campaign Director and Campaign Manager to agree content
  • Implement pre-defined social media posts, and monitor performance of social media channels and HarperCollins Childrens' websites
  • Assist with digital advertising such as Google AdWords
  • Generate professional and persuasive B2B communications for use by UK, international and special sales channels
  • Work with UK and international key accounts teams to further develop existing relationships with retailers and distributors
  • Ensure that all administration enabling control and visibility of marketing spend is up-to-date and accurate
  • Achieve smooth running of team meetings
  • Source and manage work experience placements to the benefit of the team
  • Take ownership of the Campaign Planner
  • Keep the Culture Calendar up to date and share with key stakeholders
  • Take ownership of completion of AIs across all titles
  • Manage marketing asset delivery for the weekly Brand ID meeting
  • Generate sales reports and graphs for key titles / brands using Bookscan
  • Track and manage marketing merchandise stock / inventory at our central warehouse in Glasgow
  • Clearly demonstrate an understanding of competitors' strengths and weaknesses and retail trends to ensure continuous competitive advantage
