With 400 stores nationwide, Poundstretcher stocks a huge selection of great value products at competitive prices, including food, toiletries, kitchenware, bedding, bathroom products, furniture, electric goods, toys and pet care. We are currently looking to recruit a Social Media Assistant, to work at our busy Head Office in Kirby Muxloe, Leicester. Ideally the candidate would have a retail background. This is a demanding fast paced role and requires the successful candidate to be extremely organised.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining Poundstretcher social media presence, including daily monitoring, posting, scheduling, and overall maintenance of all social platforms.
  • Develop Facebook/Twitter/Instagram weekly ad campaigns
  • Responsible for developing ideas for weekly Google Ads
  • Planning and executing weekly email newsletter to database
  • Develop and expand community and/or blogger outreach efforts
  • Researching and contacting brand influencer/ambassador programming/network
  • Dispatching samples to bloggers and vloggers
  • Write press releases and contact media desks
  • Compile weekly social media report for CEO
  • Track and measure campaign performance across all social platform.

Required Qualification

  • 2 years prior retail marketing experienc
  • Prior knowledge working with Google Ad Words and Facebook Ad Manager
  • Marketing or PR related degree
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Above average desktop computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
